DESCRIPTION:
This project includes the preparation of plans, specifications and construction cost estimates for the widening of the three bridges carrying the Bronx River Parkway over the Bronx River. These single-span bridges will be widened from 45 feet to 65 feet. Two of the bridges are pre-stressed beam superstructures with conventional concrete substructures; the third is a concrete arch bridge. BLA will also prepare bridge sections showing the construction staging required to maintain parkway traffic.
